Dear Oakridge Gardens Community,
It’s been a few weeks since my last communication and I want to keep you updated on rebuilding and reopening after the fire.
We have completed mitigation and recovery from water and smoke damage and will get power turned on this week – these are the first steps that need to be taken to reopening. We are now busy planning for rebuilding Cedar Ridge, Oaks and Rehab North with our partner Community Living Solutions (CLS). We look forward to also working with CLS to rebuild Rehab West. We are excited this planning and work has begun.
Before we’re able to start rebuilding, the facility has to go through an inspection to determine the cause of the fire. Due to circumstances beyond our control, that inspection has been delayed, so the entire timeline has been shifted. We’re hoping to have the inspection completed by the first week of September and then work on the facility would begin soon after.
Because of the delay in the investigation, we are now hoping to reopen Rehab North, Cedar Ridge and Oaks possibly in December. We still don’t have an expected re-open date for Rehab West. We will be reaching out to you directly as we have more information on expected move-in dates.
I understand that it’s hard to feel connected during a time when connectedness is difficult to begin with. To that end, we are putting a focus on communication and will be launching a revamped printed newsletter and will be putting more content on our Facebook page. If you would like to share ideas of what you’d like to see, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Again, I am so grateful for your patience and understanding. Please know we’re doing the best we can to get our facility back open quickly and safely. If you have any questions, concerns, ideas or comments as we move through these next months, please don’t hesitate to call me, Caitlin or Andi at (920) 739-0111.
