Our History and Commitment to Excellence

Commitment to Excellence
The Schanke family has owned and operated Oakridge Gardens Rehabilitation & Memory Center since 1980. The addition of GardenView Assisted Living offered the first model of a continuum-of-care facility in the Fox Valley area. To better serve the growing needs of our community, we opened The Gardens of Fountain Way Assisted Living.

Baldridge Performance Excellence Program

In 2014, the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) presented Oakridge Gardens Rehabilitation and Memory Center with the Bronze Commitment to Quality award. The award is in recognition of dedication to improving the lives of residents through the highest quality of care. The nationwide Baldridge Performance Excellence Program honors centers across the U.S. that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality care for seniors and individuals with disabilities, and assists them in achieving their performance excellence goals.

Integrity, Attentiveness, Compassion, Collaboration

These are the core values that guide our family-owned and -operated health care facilities daily. You can be confident your family member will be cared for as we would our own.
Our mission is to provide residents and their families with a high-quality environment and a professional, service-oriented staff.

Community Engagement

At Oakridge Gardens, GardenView and The Gardens of Fountain Way, we believe that being engaged in the health care profession will assist in ensuring we are providing the highest-quality care and services available, and maintaining our focus to exceed customer expectations. Our staff is actively involved in professional organizations at the local, state and national levels.
  • American Health Care Association
  • Leading Age Wisconsin; serving within the executive leadership
Additionally, we serve the local communities through membership in organizations, including Rotary, Kiwanis and the Appleton Area Hockey Association.

Our Vision

We are committed to being responsive to the needs of residents and to being the best option for a continuum of care in the Fox Valley.
